Making it “Smart”
To get these talking to your house, you’ll need a solid power relay or a smart dimmer. If you want things to feel snappy, I’d suggest sticking with Zigbee or Matter. They’re just faster. The best part? You can set up a “geofence.” This means the heaters can sense when your phone is pulling into the driveway and fire up five minutes before you even walk through the door. A few things to keep in mind
Now, a quick heads-up on the technical side. These lamps pull a lot of power. If you plug too many into one circuit, you’re going to trip your breaker, and that’s a pain nobody wants. Just do a quick bit of math on your home’s amperage before you go all-in. Also, while the casing is waterproof, that glass emitter getsseriously hot. If you touch it, you’ll get burned. We’ve added physical guards to keep people safe, but it’s still worth being mindful of.
